Hypnotism is the science of influencing perception & behaviour by
means of the laws of suggestion & the state known as hypnotic trance.

Hypnotism refers to the methods, known as 'induction techniques' of achieving hypnotic phenomena.

Hypnosis is the mind-body state produced by a temporary modification
of the nervous system as a result of the induction technique. This state
brought about by hypnotism is characterised by restricted awareness
(i.e. ignoring distractions) & a capacity for increased concentration.

Hypnology is the overall term which refers to the science of understanding
the nature & utility of all hypnotic states, hypnotic phenomena & induction methods.
